There used to be this rumour about this scene where Natalie Portman's character sings a ballad. What's the status of this rumour? (Source: Anditte) (SuperShadow: Kind of funny, but extremely false.)
For Episode 1, Kenner will release more toys than all of ANH, ESB, and ROTJ all together. (Source: SWBuff) (SuperShadow: Oh, yeah. Kenner is going to take ALL of our cash come next year!)
I have some speculation about the Prequels 1: Anakin falls in love with the Queen's younger sister who becomes Queen after the her older sister (the Queen) gets killed. Either because of Anakin's lack of knowledge of the Force or the Code of the Jedi used by him or another Jedi. This gives the Palpatine something to manipulate Anakin with to the Darkside. 2: I know the books that where written after RTOJ don't have anything to do with the movies but that also doesn't mean that George can't use them or be true to them. Since most the talks much about anything before ANH and would only deal with the Sequels which says he is not making and could be why he let the books be written in the first place. So can Palpatine's fear of Anakin's having childern be because of Anakin's wife having some kind Force Power that is different the Jedi like suggested in The Black Fleet Crisis? Corny and dautful but possible.
3.In the Heir To The Empire books you had a clone Jedi Master who was Insane. Can the Clone Wars in EP2 lead to Palpatine's rise to power because the Jedi use This new technology (cloning)cause them to fight their clones which reduces thier number to where Palpatine sends in his Dark Jedi to finish them, which is also a trap for the Dark Jedi that he kills leaving a handful of Jedi for Vader to finish off? Will we see Thrawn cameo somewhere? 3: What about Xizor and the Black Sun from Shadows Of The Empire which George Himself pushed when it came out? 4: I just finsihed I, JEDI which was great. It talks about their being different Jedi believes and practices like the Corellian Jedi being loners and that Jedi can be limited to certain areas and power of the Force. Some food for thought. Great page by the way. (Source: Jetfire) (SuperShadow: We'll learn quite alot about the Jedi Knights and their diffent ways in the prequel movies and novels. The bad guys uses cloning to their advantage. We will probably get to see representatives from Thrawn and Xizor's species in the Galactic Senate.)
I don't know if you read the prequel watch, but does Garindan post lame rumors on purpose? How come he doesn't have any cool sources like you have? Why does he bother to post rumors at all when he knows they are false. He can't vouch for the truthfullness of any of his sources especially True Fan. I like your page and visit as often as I can. (Source: Bill S.) (SuperShadow: I don't know Garindan very well. He's a decent guy as far as I know. All I know is that he is some guy who lives in Atlanta, Georgia so it is impossible for him to have any contacts with Lucasfilm employees. His site posts some very hilarious rumors. It's kind of sad in a way . . . )
Response to Whisper's Rumor for the trailer being in front of movie. If he is correct the movie is Against All Enemies (was known as Martial Law). Starring Denzel Washington; Bruce Willis; Annette Bening. Its about A FBI agent and a United States Army General team up to find an underground cell of terrorists bombing New York City. Next up for the terrorists: detonating their thermonuclear weapon in the Big Apple. But there is no offical release date for it yet just that it should be out in 1998. (Source: Jetfire) (SuperShadow: The trailer now seems like some kind of mythical beast like the Yeti or the Lochness Monster. Will we really ever get to see a prequel trailer??)
INDIANA JONES AND THE MAGNIFYING TOOTHBRUSH FIASCO indy saves the world from plaque creatures from the dark side. Sean brushes his teeth. (Source: Shein) (SuperShadow: Why on earth do some of you send me stuff about Indiana Jones 4? Thanx. I'm sure George will consider your synopsis for Indy 5.)
I thought the Episode 1 title was actually Star Wars:Balance of the Force. (Source: SpiderAOL) (SuperShadow: Sorry. No, that was just a working title. The really title is . . . well, you'll all know soon enough.)
Do you guys at Lucasfilm like sending Harry disinformation over there at Ain't It Cool News . . . he will post any and everything. Midiclorians? Is Harry an idiot? (Source: Freegone) (SuperShadow: Hey, I love Harry as much as the next guy, but he has done more for spreading Episode 1 disinformation than any other site in cyberspace. His prequel rumors are fun to read though.)
Great prequel script! I would like to print it off, but it is too long. When will Mr. Lucas let 'em publish a copy of the script? (Source: Gee Gee Done) (SuperShadow: It will be published soon after the film comes out next May.)
Can any fan site be trusted to post reliable Ep I rumors . . . by the way your site rocks! Please post. (Source: Kenny) (SuperShadow: No.)
How can I get a hold of a Star Wars Trivial Pursuit game? I was told that they are available. (Source: LHAMMES01) (SuperShadow: You might try going to a store.)
How often do you update Episode I plot ? How can I tell when you last updated ? (Source: B2) (SuperShadow: I don't have time to update the script. Sorry. Ask that crazy guy, Michael Potts, to update it for ya. :) I would give you his e-mail address except that he might start harassing you like he harasses us. He's a scary guy. Gives me the shivers . . . Did his mom drop him on his head as an infant?)
Hello again. No rumors today, only a few comments. A couple of days ago some things occurred to me while I was watching Ep 4. 1) Owen Lars has to have been a Jedi, just look at his robes - very similar to OB1's. 2) In Ep 6, I assume the Rebels are striking the 2nd Death Star while it cannot move (from the moon of Endor) due to construction, otherwise it wouldn't be such a universal threat. 3) I have a theory concerning different outcomes of 2 corresponding events in the current trilogy versus the prequel trilogy. These two events are: (a) the paths chosen by/for Luke v's Anakin, and (b) the result of a love triangle, ie, YQueen/Ben/Anakin v's Luke/Leia/Han. (a) the abilities of Anakin and Luke are obviously similar being father and son, but they choose two completely different paths to follow. Luke realises in Ep 6 (when he looks at his father's severed hand then his own gloved hand) that he will turn out like his father if he procedes to fight.
(b) Knowing that this is true, there is a distinct possibility that the prequel trilogy could provide a juxtaposition for many current trilogy events, the main one being the outcome of the 'love triangle'. In the current trilogy, the love triangle is resolved easily due to the discovery of Luke and Leia being genetically related. However, this is not going to be the case in the prequel trilogy. We know there is a conflict between Ben and Anakin and that it is resolved with violence. Look out for more in 1999.
Once the prequel trilogy is made and we all watch the 6 episodes straight through we will be wondering if events in the 2nd half mirror the events in the 1st half. (of course they don't). Just one more comment: The prequels will look a lot more sophisticated than the worlds of the current trilogy (I think this is worrying many people because Ep's 4-6 are set 20 - 30 years after, hence should be more technologically advanced). This isn't the case as Ben says the lightsaber was the weapon of a "more civilized age". So the prequel's will be visually fantastic. I will have a rumor or two for next time. (Source: The Falcon) (SuperShadow: George has stated that he likes to repeat the same kind of themes and plot devices in his films. Many of us are going to think that Episode 1 is Star Wars: A New Hope with a shorter Luke Skywalker. It will be a fun and entertaining movie, but the plot is not all that original. The plot doesn't become truly complicated until Ep 2 when all the betrayals take shape.)
I heard that *George Lucas* himself will make a brief appearance in Episode II or III as a pilot(?) who helps save a race of dwarflike creatures from attack by the Mandalorians(? or some other force). One of the dwarf creatures becomes a major for the rest of the series. Cool, but will it really happen? (Source: Darth ChiChi) (SuperShadow: Dwarves in a Star Wars movie? Are you kidding me? Your rumor is false. I'm the one who is going to do all that and not George.)
I think you guys are the best (of course, you probably knew that already). Your web site far surpasses anything I've seen for the Prequels so far. It is VERY cool! One thing I've been wondering about (and I know that "The MAN" George Lucas doesn't like to talk about the Sequels before he's even done the Prequels, but I HAVE to ask anyway) will the Sequels involve Han and Leia's children? I know that in the novels that continue the story Han and Leia get hitched and have three kids... Will this actually occur? I know its probably very premature to be even thinking about this, but I would appretiate your thoughts on this. Again, you guys are the bestest~! (Source: JainaSolo) (SuperShadow: George has written a brief story synopsis for the Sequel Trilogy in his spiral notebook. He wrote it nearly 25 years ago. Luke, Han and Leia are in their sixties in the Sequel Trilogy. Their kids will be in their late thirties to early forties. The films center around the re-establishment of the Jedi Knights/Old Republic to their former glory. And a clone of Darth Vader will likely appear somewhere in the sequels because this is why George will not let any Star Wars writers use the idea of a Vader clone in their novels. He is saving this idea for the sequels.)
Will Han make an appearance in the prequels and will he know Vader? (Source: han) (SuperShadow: When George is asked this question, he wants to pull his hair out. The answer is yes. We get to see how Han and Chewie first meet in Ep 3. I hope that makes ya happy.)
When does it begin? (Source: Vadder) (SuperShadow: Episode I makes its world wide premiere in North America on May 25, 1999.)
Have you ever been to George Lucas' home? (Source: Voo Who) (SuperShadow: No comment.)
I'm glad there is at least one prequel site (yours) that is honest with the fans. Can you make the other prequel sites stop lying to us? (Source: Gi-Bon Yin) (SuperShadow: No, I rarely correspond with any other SW webmasters. I'm too freakin' buzy! If you have a problem with their site, complain to them and not me.)
Your script is breathtaking. A real inspiration. I'm going to write my own. Thank you, shadow! (Source: Flobee) (SuperShadow: Glad you enjoyed it!)
Have heard that the Mandalorian Supercommando armor that is suppossed to appear in Episode 2 is going to be colored all white, with black spandex-like material underneath. Basically, imagine Fett's armor, but with white in place of gray/green, and a few darker grey areas on the helmet to provide a nice contrast. Suggestion is that Palpitine was inspired to create Stormtrooper armor along similar lines. Fett's armor is either that worn by an elite unit within the supercommandoes, or else he painted it himself, along with all other mosifications. (Source: Mad Dog) (SuperShadow: Sorry, all those rumors are false.)
You seem to know quite a bit about the three new flicks. How? Great site and greater info. I'll be back. (Source: Fett's worse nightmare) (SuperShadow: Wouldn't you and half of Lucasfilm like to know the answer to that question. My lips are sealed.)
Hello there, I would just like to share with you some of my ideas on your possible treatment of the first episode. First off it's pretty close to the way I envisioned it. With only a few differences, number one , I had never considered the young Anikin and mother to be slaves. In fact, they were going to be poor immigrants from another system. They had come to Tattooine to get away from conflicts, some place relatively safe to raise their two sons ( in my version both of Anakin's parents are alive). The conflict that was going around would be ignited by a degenerative race much like in your version, and they were mostly trying to find cloning technology, which would eventually break out into the clone wars, that is after they obtained the technology. It would all start off on the young Queen's home world ( which in my view would be a very grassy world )
It would be having trouble from this degenerative race, and yes her coranation would be postponed, and she would be sent to the republic's home world of Coruscant, there she would be greeted by a few representitives of the council and she would request help. Then I jumped back to Tattooine for the pod race that I heard about, I thought his reason would be to impress a girl with his piloting skills and that later when his parents found out he would be skulded. He won the race with a young obi-wan watching from the crowds. He would take an immediate liking to him. ( but I never got around to seeing them actually meeting )
Anakin would go before Jabba the Hutt for praise and some kind of reward ( again I couldn't figure out what it would be to tie into the story later on, but I knew it would be important, actually I didn't think that finding the artoo unit was good enough, maybe it should have been an antique light saber or something, still don't know ) Then he would see the girl and she would be really pleased, but then his older brother would find him and drag him home to his angry father, with hints to an argument that Anakin had with his father a few days before over the matter of entering the race.
I know that it was thin to use a girl for the reason to race, but I planed to change my verson of that later on when something in the plot decided to jump up and give me a better reason. Then I would have gone back to Coruscant where the council would be conferring about the problem on the queen's home world... Again being introduced by Palpatine... he would give this grand speech ( one that would mislead the audience till at the end when someone would say his name, like asking him a question or something, letting the audience in on what was really going on ) then the young queen ( who isn't offically the queen yet ) speak, many of the council members urged that they have the coranation cerimony there on Corscant, but she said something like 'she would do it on no other world but her own. ( but in my version, and I never really got more than half way into the story, but some place near the end her world would be completely destroyed and she would be coranated on this water moon that orbited here world.... which I thought might be a huge setting in the second film, now most of the that is just gut feelings about what should happen)....
I had never really worked in Neeson's Jedi character, or yoda's appearence r'too's ,c3p0's,or the jedi council chamber, even though I know about there presence in the film.... but I knew that I wanted a dark jedi in the story ( that idea of the breakable lightsaber was pretty weak if you ask me, now maybe something like a glove shield that would allow the user to actually grab hold of the lit end, umm , just a passing thought)
Oh the other thing that occured to me, and I thought it was a little thin was that on the water moon they would find the race the admiral ackbar was from, for obvious reasons. and mostly because I wanted them to very important race in the story line in the next two films ( but that's just because I think they were so cool in jedi and they didn't get to do much )
I never did get around to thinking about what another dark jedi would look like, and I don't much care for the idea so far in your version, maybe it will be reworked. I was wondering were most of your information came from, some of it is pretty specific..... any way I liked your version so much I was wondering if you maybe would like to work on it alittle bit further with me. See it occured to me how cool it would be to do a comic book version of what a real fan's best guess as to what the next movie will be like.... it would purely for fans and we would make no profit off it, when pages were completed we could post them on the net, but in order to that I would be needing dialog, and your writing seems to be top notch,
I'm not really a bad artist, you can see some of my work on my web page , but I would take a more serious approach to a project like this ! I've had many years of character design experence so I can come up with some pretty interesting environments...... and when its all done and in may we can see how eerily close we were to the final product who knows maybe it will even work out better in some parts !!!!!
Please send me a reply to this project proposal, I will keep send you inquiries till I get some kind of response ( please don't take that as me being to forward, I just know how easy it is to slip through the cracks) I could do this all myself , but I think it would be more interesting to work in conjunction with another fan who has a good grasp on what might happen , not to mention if I write it it will come out kind of flat (writing's not my strongest gift, I'm more visual) (Source: Kilnthaw) (SuperShadow: That all sounds extremely interesting. Let me think about that for a while. Thanx!!)
It's cool. (Source: Fidget) (SuperShadow: Thanx. What's cool? The site or my Elvis-like hairstyle? I kid you not.)
Keep on truckin! (Source: World B. Free) (SuperShadow: I don't own a truck. I own a 1975 Carribean blue AMC Gremlin.)
OB1 tried to convince Vader back to the good side like luke did in Return of the Jedi. In Return of the Jedi, Luke says "Come with me." and Vader says "OB1 once thought as you did." (Source: Ock) (SuperShadow: We all know that already, Ock. Did you know that Fett is a girl?)
It is Darth Sidious that foresees and tells Palpatine that Palpatine will rule the galaxy as dictator. It might not be Darth Sidious, it can be Darth Maul. (Source: Ent.Edu) (SuperShadow: I'll take your word for it, but I heard it was Darth Vile who foresees Palpatine's rise.)
I've been visiting your site for about a month now and I must say it is one of the most enjoyable Prequel sites available.
As a longtime Lucas employee (5 1/2 years) it would be pretty easy to become jaded being around Star Wars all the time. But reading all the messages on your site and your replies to your readers gives me great joy. It helps me to remember who we're all doing it for.
As tempting as it may be for me to slip you some juicy rumors (I know plenty), I prefer to keep my job. ;-> I will make one little correction to something I saw on your website.
I seem to recall reading that you had denounced the notion that JAK Films was named after George's children. Well, that rumor is very definitely fact. JAK are the initials of George's three children.
Keep up the good work and God bless. (Source: LVR) (SuperShadow: You want to keep your job, huh? Interesting. You mean George might fire you for revealing sensitive prequel secrets? Go figure. That's not the George I know (and love). How hard is it going to be for Lucasfilm to narrow down who they hired 5 1/2 years ago?)
What is the order of rank in the Imperial Army? Emperor...Grand Moff...??? (Source: The Falcon) (SuperShadow: You'll have to ask Steve Sansweet for the answer to that question.)
You guys are number one with a bullet! I can't get enuff of these rumors! (Source: Blud Clot) (SuperShadow: It can be addictive.)
I'm knee deep in e-mail and will try to catch up . . . eventually! Be patient eventually your e-mail will be posted!
I think it is totally dumb to say that Natalie Portman will be Luke and Leia's mother cuz then that would just ruin the mystery behind her... and she is just not fit for the role, I think. Everyone probably thinks NP is going to be the mother in the first place cuz of her 'so called' big name. I just hope its some kind of decoy. :) (Source: BMW) (SuperShadow: Lucasfilm has officially announced that NP is Luke and Leia's mother and the future wife of Anakin Skywalker.)
George Lucas has always said that the two droids would be different in the prequels and it seems C-3PO is going to look different but what about Artoo he is well exactly the same. But what if he is not the same quirky deceitful little droid the rebel aliance owes there greatest victory for. My point is, he is quirky becuse he has not had his memory wiped clean for at least the stretch of the original trilogy per Lukes wishes and when this was finally done in Dark Empire C-3PO was quite upset that Luke had it done.
Also it may appear that he was deceitful in ANH but on Tatooine he was litterly following orders given by Princess Leia these where difficult orders to carry out and that may have given an appearance of quirkiness I think most people would agree that Artoo is not the same Droid in ROTJ as he was in in ANH it was during this time he aquired a genuine personality. Now back to the Prequels, isn't it likely that Artoo is going to be just another droid. More than likely he is just the Young Queens Astromech for her ship or perhaps just a run of the mill R2 unit for someones starfighter (He at this time is not an old used droid that might be of some use on a Moisture farm on some desolate planet) It does not seem likely that any of our Tatooine residents would have need for one of these pricey droids.
So if he is just a droid with little personality it would be fitting because watching episodes 1-6 we would be watching this droid evolve a personality. I also argue personalities are not programed into astromechs because they are simply worker droids, unlike droids like C-3PO whose job it is to interact with many species of sentient life. So is Artoo's difference simply just no personality? (Source: Tony) (SuperShadow: According to our top Lucasfilm, sources R2 looks the same as he does in the original trilogy except that in Ep 1 he/she sounds a little different. C3PO looks alot different and is an animatronic puppet and not a computer-generated character. C3PO's personality may be quite surprising also. Expect the unexpected. )
Hey, Shadow! I luv your episode 1 script . . . just thought I would let you know there is this sycho nut from Australia named Michael Potts who is going around claiming to have written your "Knights of the Republic script." He claims he sent it out "anonymously." Just thought I would let you know . . . keep up the awesome site!! (Source: Banlo) (SuperShadow: Yeah, I've gotten dozens of e-mails from someone named Michael Potts. He asked if he could take my script and modify it and change it somewhat. I told him that I didn't want it changed, but he then told me he was going to rip-off my script and make his own version and then send it out to people claiming it was his!! He said if I didn't post his version that he was going to bad mouth me and Dark Side Prequel Rumors, which apparently he is doing because I am not going to post his version of my script. Watch out for this guy he seems to be a very eccentric chap from downunder . . . And I'm glad you enjoyed MY SCRIPT. Take care!)
You ABSOLUTELY MUST disabuse me of the following rumor, as it is certainly the silliest sacks of s**t I've seen sported on several sites...JAMES CAMERON TO DIRECT EPISODE TWO??????????? Aint it Cool News must be smokin' crack! That rumor is right up there with "Memoirs" being a cover for Indy 4. (isn't it?) Signed, evermore, a concerned fan (Source: Eyegore) (SuperShadow: Cameron is not going to direct Ep 2. George is not ready to make a $ 225 million dollar Star Wars film. He's a great director, but George probably can't afford to pay Cameron what he is worth now after the super-success of Titanic. Also, the Midiclorian rumor is a bunch of horse rubbish.)
Dear Supershadow the great! I wonder if you could tell me if Tarkin is going to be seen in Ep 1. (Source: Carl J.) (SuperShadow: Yep, Tark is in Ep 1.)
Rockin' the house! Great page! You guys realy are the best!! (Source: View Askew) (SuperShadow: Uhhh, thanx. U have a rumor u want to share with us?)
I've always thought that James Earl Jones did an excellent job as the voice of Darth Vader. So much so that it concerns me to think of Vader in Episode III without J.E.J.'s voice. I presume he would do it again, but what if something were to happen to him. How old is he? It will be another 5 years or so until filming begins on Episode III. It would not be the same without the voice that is heard worldwide on such things as CNN, etc. etc.
Also, while there are many many things in the original trilogy that could be precursors to what may happen in the prequels, we need to not go overboard and assume everything is leading to something. Then again, who cares I guess. That's what this website is for!
Lastly, judging by the crowds and long lines formed for the Special Edition Movies, I sure hope I can get in to see the movie as soon as possible. It would be devastating to not be able to get in for up to a week without camping overnight to get a ticket, but that's what it might come to I have a feeling. (Source: Hammes)(SuperShadow: Hopefully, Jones will live for another 5 or so years. Let's keep our fingers crossed. He's not 80 years-old you know . . . Speculation can get out of hand. Other prequel sites are posting tons of fake prequel rumors (Midiclorians, character names for the Jedi Council, etc.) . . . Your wait for Ep 1 could be extremely, extremely long. This will probably be the first movie where ticket scalpers will be selling Ep 1 tickets for untold sums of money. How much would you be willing to pay for a ticket to the first screening of the prequel in your town? I'm going to buy all the tickest and make a fortune scalping those tickets to the masses :) )
I've been visiting your Prequel Rumors website and I'm having trouble. Whenever I click on a link, it has trouble going through. I can't look around the site. Is there anything I can do? (Source: Purplewoof) (SuperShadow: The large volume of visitors we get was causing havoc with the tripod.com server. They have fixed the problem now and all links should be working. I guess we're just too durn popular!!)
I heard that it will be delayed cause the film will not be completed in that day...is this true..in starwras.com they didnt tell anything. (Source: Yoseph) (SuperShadow: Ep 1 will definitely be released May 1999 in North America. Any rumors that Ep 1 will be delayed are completely false and that comes directly from the mouth of the man himself.)
supershadow....your site is great etc, etc,....this is my first post so I'll try to make it as coherent as possible...as I was browsing through your site I was struck with an interesting notion that may or may not already been touched upon by others...IF Owen is Ben's brother, could that make him also somewhat proficient in the ways of the Jedi....In ANH Luke feels partly to blame for not being at the farm to help defend the attack....what if Like Ben , Owen went into hiding during the empire's purging of the Jedi Knights....he discouraged Luke by dismissing Ben, his brother. as a crazy hermit, because he believed that there was no hope left for the Jedi and that if Luke made the Universe aware of him(luke) he would ultimately be destroyed...
along those same lines, if that was the case, is it possible that the empire might have found Owen's farm anyways as they continued to destroy the remaining Jedi...of course, if he was a Jedi, then you would think that he could defend himself against attack, but then again, lookwhat Ben did on the death star.....I would love to see Owen play a larger role in the prequels as a Jedi, fighting alongside ben or possibly taking sides against him because of a split among the Jedi...just some thoughts (Source: Student1) (SuperShadow: You make some excellent points about Owen Lars. I will let you in on a little secret: Owen does have ties with the Jedi Knights and he is/was proficient in the ways of the Force. Do we get to see Owen in Ep 1? I bet you would ALL like for me to answer that question.)
Keep rockin' the Casbah! Love your preq. page!! (Source: Larry Tate) (SuperShadow: Thanx!!)
Thanks for the first issue - it was pretty cool! (Source: David) (SuperShadow: Hey, we're not the # 1 source for prequel rumors by accident!!)
I was very pleased to learn that the same actor (Ian McDiarmid) will play Palpatine in Episode 1 - he is excellent, and imho Lucas should have replaced the actor who appears as the hologram of the emperor in TESB (what was his name?) with sir McDiarmid for the special edition. Why didn't he? Also, I have a question about Palpatine in Episode 1. On Starwars.com, we see two pictures of the Palpatine, one as emperor, as he appears in ROTJ, and another picture, in which we see quite a noble but normal human face, I presume from senator Palpatine as he will appear in Episode 1. Now, the difference between these two pictures is quite big - and these effects are not just due to old age, considering the emperor's yellow eyes.
Or is picture 2 just a picture of sir Ian in everyday life? I would like to know, what is this related to? (Could it be due to cloning?). Thank you & keep up the good work! (Source: Vincent) (SuperShadow: Everyone has an opinion about the enigmatic identity of the Emperor. Some think that the Emp we saw in the original trilogy is some kind of insane clone of Senator Palpatine that appears in Ep 1. Some think he is just the same guy except the dark side has taken its toll on his body. Do I know the answer to this question? No. Only George knows the true identity of the Emperor. Sometimes the most common sense explanation turns out to be true. The enigma surrounding the Emperor still persists . . . Also, please remember, that I don't know EVERYTHING about Ep 1 just more than I WANT to know!! )
Hey! Did you see the France 98 World Cup finals? When France won the cup, they played the Star Wars theme!!! I heard a rumor that Lucas was going to somehow promote the Prequels during the cup...is he behind it? I was really surprised...maybe it was just a coincidence? Did anybody else notice? Hail Supershadow- Mark (Source: Norman P.)(SuperShadow: I saw France clobber Brasil in the finals and France using the SW theme was ultra kewl . . . I guess those French players are really looking forward to the next Star Wars film.)
Hey Ive been reading this site for a while, and I was under the impression that you were just a very dedicated Star Wars fan. However, when I read your July 12 e-mail I saw some strange stuff; "I don't what to reveal who I am." "I plan to make a Fett trilogy." "I just make Gorge his coffe" "R2-D2 will sound a little bit different in ep.1"
How close to lucasfilm are You? How can you be sure about the strength of all these special effects? Whats going on? It Must be a Conspiracy!!! P.S. Kicka*s site at any rate. (Source: -Megalodon) (SuperShadow: We're the envy of every Star Wars webmaster on the Net. We have the coolest jobs in the galaxy!)
Hey Supershadow....you used to seem just as confused about episode 1 as us and could only speculate like we do. However, by reading some of your responses it suddenly seems as if you've seen the movie and know what it's going to look and sound like. Did I miss something? Did I fall asleep for a year and suddenly awaken on May 25, 1999?
I hope not! Also, here's my solution to all the hype and questions about an episode 1 teaser/trailor. Instead of just placing it in front of a certain movie, FOX should just release the trailor by itself! I bet it would be the second highest grossing picture of the year behind Titanic!!! (Source: Trans311)(SuperShadow: That's a good idea! Theaters could show the Ep 1 trailer a zillion times a day and make millions! Great idea! Yeah, I know more about Ep 1 than I would like to and that sucks! You should all feel very, very lucky that you know next to nothing about what your going to see in Ep 1. You will leave the theater in complete shock and amazement. George is going to do it again!!)
You leave all the other sites in the dust Dark Side!! (Source: Raleer)(SuperShadow: We do hammer the competition pretty severly, but who can realistically hope to compete with us! A bunch of college kids? As if . . . )
Your site is too good to be believed! Way to go, dudes! (Source: Stratocaster)(SuperShadow: We are humbled by your appreciation.)
I have heard that Queen's name maybe changed to either "Jocasta"' or "Gaia." I have even heard that her name will be "Padme Kosdashida", her last name being a variation on "kos Dash*t" , an earlier name for Darth Vader. (Source: Omeo) (SuperShadow: Sorry, those rumors are false.)
Have you heard about the new Star Wars LEGO being made for next year? what does everyone think the sets will be? I remember having great fun when i was a child making the ships out of my LEGO! Will we see an X-wing? TIE Fighter? Falcon? or new ep 1. ships? (Source: James Taylor)(SuperShadow: The Lego toys will be awesome, but that's old news, James!!)
Shadow your by far the best prequel expert out there! U guyz are kewl! Hope you guys never go away! (SuperShadow: Well, we try to update every day, but the popularity of this site is causing untold server strain. Keep it up!)
Thanks, its (Dark Side Prequel Newsletter # 1) long but hey, thats the way I write too. Maybe I could give you some kind of article. Get back to me on this. (Source: Chelsie) (SuperShadow: Thanks for the kind compliment! The second one should be out very soon. We now have over 2,050 people on the mailing list! Join today!)
That's script you wrote for Ep 1 is the greatest SW story that I have ever read! Cheerio! (Source: Parker Stevens) (SuperShadow: Thanx!)
Did you guys vanish? Where's the updates? (Source: Vernon) (Source: Josh)(SuperShadow: We're back!!)
Dark Side Prequel Rumors rules! Please post this! (Source: Josh)(SuperShadow: Consider it posted!)
First, a possible Episode 1 title I've heard bounced around: Star Wars: Guardians of the Force. Secondly I think the rumors that Boba Fett will make an appearance in Episode 2 are false. Even though us diehard Fett-Heads would be overjoyed, it doesn't make a whole hell of a lot of sense. All the info that has been released regarding Fett indicates that he's Human, and only a few years older than Han is. I've guestimated that Fett is between 35 and 45 yrs of age in RotJ, which means that unless there's a big, fat chunk of years in between Episodes 1, 2 and 3, Fett would be very, very young in any of the Prequels. Likely too young.
Also, if the Jaster Mereel moniker is accurate, and if Fett is originally from Concord Down, he may have never had anything to do with the Mandalorians in the first place. That being said, if a young Han Solo appears in Episode 3, then it's certainly quite possible that Fett could also appear. Maybe George'll explore Han, Jabba and Fett's initial meetings in Episode 3.
BTW, even as a Fett-Head, I hope George DOES NOT unmask Fett in ANY of the prequels. That would dispel the mystique of the character, and can do nothing but diminish his appeal, even if just a little. The whole point of the 'Man with No Name' character is that he remains anonymous. And oh yeah, the site rocks! Nicely done. :) (Source: D.W. Varey)(SuperShadow: First, Guardians of the Force was a false rumor that originated from a very unreliable prequel source called, True Fan. Second, George Lucas himself stated on starwars.com that Fett will have a PROMINENT role in Ep 2. Third, Fett is going to be revealed to be a woman in the prequels. That is guaranteed. You had all better get use to it! No kidding . . . )
l would like to stay updated with the news if l could be... l would appreciate it millions l am a huge fan of the Trilogy and of the books so l thank you kindly.... (Source: Jeckel) (SuperShadow: Stay with us for the best prequel rumors and news! All the others are wannabes!!)
Stop with the stupid Fett rumors! Fett is not a woman. (Source: Jason Obi-Wan) (SuperShadow: I am sorry, my friend. But Fett is very much of the female persuasion. She has everybody fooled. You have all been begging George to put Fett in the prequels and now he is going to give her too ya!!)
Two words: Great site (Source: Roy Neary)(SuperShadow: We thank you kindly, good sir.)
Keep your fingers crossed that we can pump out the daily updates for you SW fans again!!!
As always, your friend,
SuperShadow
I've read a lot of talk that the special effects in Jurassic park were in many ways a precursor to the GREAT special effect we'll see in EP1. Do you think this comparrison may mean we'll see Dinosaur/Dragon type creatures like the bones that were shown in the desert in ANH? Just speculating. (Source: Phil Keup Florida) (SuperShadow: Rontos and Banthas are dinosaur-type animals so we have already seen CG creatures of this type in a SW movie. George is going to do things with CG effects that are not really EVEN POSSIBLE to do with current technology. It is impossible for you guys to imagine the scope of the CG effects for Episode 1. ILM has the ability to produce anything that George imagines. The only sticking point is PRICE. Some of the things George wants to do are just too expensive to do with current software limitations. Hence, ILM is betting they can develop and perfect new CG imaging software in time to finish the film next May. The movie tag line for Ep 1 should be: "Star Wars Episode 1: A Film Beyond Your Imagination")
I think that in episode II boba fett will not be masked but some insignificant character from episode II will be masked as boba fett in episode III. also for directors on episode two. i tend to think that lucas will direct. i remember in the 70's him saying the reason he stopped directing was because it was a bad experience for him,now all he has been talking about is how good of an experience it has been. (Source: Force)(SuperShadow: Don't get your hopes up too high that George will direct Ep 2. He might do it, but he might choose to go with a differenct director in order to give Ep 2 a fresh feel and look. Kershner did a wonderful job in his directorial duties in the Empire Strikes Back)
Wonderful site! I really enjoyed reading your script version of episode one. I hope Lucas' version is even better! (Source: J. Gordan)(SuperShadow: Don't worry George's Ep 1 script is a million times better than mine. Remember I spent 5 days writing my script and George has had 25 years to work on his. Mine is a load of crap compared to Master Lucas' script.)
How do you join the mailing list for your web page? I was going through the old messages and I saw something about joining it but when I clicked on the thingy (thats a technical term) it didn't work. Could you just add me to the list or tell me how to join. Thanks. (Source: D Starkill) (SuperShadow: You have to send your e-mail address to listbot. On the page you can find a place that lets you join the list. Sometimes listbot goes down . . . so you might have to be patient. Thus far, over 2,000 readers have joined the list. Thanks!)
I have two comments, one...I would be careful of how much we read into things (ie. "The circle is now complete, when I met you I was but the learner now I am the master") I think we could take that comment at face value, simply the student now becomes the teacher, the student has come "full circle" so to speak.....Secondly one of the most enjoyable aspects of watching the film on video and when they first came out in theaters is that the technology (ie dials & buttons & levers) was advanced but believable. Laser blasts were very visually pleasing. I hope that all the new technology used in production of the prequel does not take away from that exciting aspect of episodes IV-VI (Source: Ray E. G )(SuperShadow: The only way I can describe the look of Ep 1 is to say that it is unique and different. It makes the trilogy look very, very dated. George is going to have to do another special edition of the original trilogy in order to bring them up to date with Ep 1. With the tremendous advances in special-effects technology that have occurred in the last few years, it will be very unfair to compare the original trilogy to Ep 1. The original trilogy is like a 1973 AMC Gremlin while Ep 1 is like a 1999 Lamborghini Diablo. Which would you rather own?)
I enjoyed the story you wrote for the prequel. When are you going to write a version for episode two or three? (Source: Henry Johnson)(SuperShadow: Hard to answer that question. I probably won't have time to start a script for Ep 2 until after the film comes out next May.)
I hered there might be 10 variations of boba fett's ship and a tank based on those ships. (Source: Yancy) (SuperShadow: False.)
Kewl site, dudes! May the force all ways be with you! (Source: Flagstaff)(SuperShadow: Thanks! We'll be here as long as there is an internet!!)
Just wondering if you know if Lawrence Kasdan is going to provide any services in the prequels. I think his screenwriting in Empire and Jedi were big reasons why those movies rivaled the original in quality. I don't know how responsible he was for the excellent dialogue (especially imperial dialogue), but who ever it was sure made those imperial scenes interesting. I know he had a co-screenwriter in each of those movies, but I think he was essential to their quality. (Source: Grabbe Tungue)(SuperShadow: George wrote the story while Kasdan wrote most of the dialogue. He has not been contacted by Lucasfilm in regards to the prequel trilogy.)
Is there anyway I can get your autograph? You're like the coolest prequel guy on the web. My friends would be eat up with envy. (Source: Visian Changes)(SuperShadow: LOL. Have I become a full-fledged celebrity now? Maybe I should hire a publicist and tour the country. If I ever start signing autographs, I'll make sure I send you the first one. Thanks!!)
HEY SuperShadow... Hey, u seem to know alot about the STAR WARS universe, (duh) and i have a question for ya, since young Anakin knows R2-D2 and C3-PO (in a different form) in the first movie, do u think there is a reason as to why Vader never did meet R2-D2 or C3-PO in Episodes 4-6??? Could that be some type of symbolism?? Kinda like as to why he never did go back to Tattooine to look for Luke?? Maybe like an opening old wounds kinda thing??? I hope this makes since to ya, and am real interested in your thoughts if it does. THANKS!!!!!!!!! (Source: AstroCowboy ) (SuperShadow: Pure coincidence. Sometimes you can read too much into the Star Wars Trilogy. No one knows if Anakin even owns R2 at the beginning of Ep 1. There is soooooo much that you guys/gals don't know about the movie. Once the film comes out you guys/gals will realize that 90% of the rumors on the net are false. Too bad we have to wait another 300+ days to find out!!)
Shadow, i'm looking for somebody to run the prequel part of my site could you lend your talents. I need you bad. Your the best out there. It would be a rockin' marriage of our sites. (Source: Patrick R.)(SuperShadow: Thanks for the offer but, we're happy with our current location at the moment. We have no plans to change are current URL address until AFTER the release of Ep 1 next May. Contact us again next June! We may ask YOU to join our new Super Star Wars Prequel Site © 1998. Hi! I am a big fan of your site, and i have been inspired to start my own. I thought you guys might like to check it out. It is called The Whill Journal and it is at:
http://members.aol.com/whilljourn/whilljournal
Later, (Source: Whilljournalist) (SuperShadow: From all the e-mail we receive, it appears we have inspired over half the Star Wars sites in cyber space. Keep up the great work! If you other webmasters ever need any help just let us know. We'll answer all your questions the best we can!)
Are the sequels a total no-go, or what? I love reading about the futher exploits of everyone's favorite universe, but I would love to see them on the big screen. Also, what did everyone think about the "Crimson Empire" comics mini-series. I thought it was a perfect fit in the ever growing Star Wars mythos. (Source: BK-421) (SuperShadow: You got to understand. George gets irritated when people talk about the sequels when he hasn't even finished the first movie in the Prequel Trilogy. He ALWAYS says: "No, more SW films after this one." It pumps up demand. Believe me in 15 years or so, we'll be posting news that George has announced that he is beginning production of the Sequel Trilogy. However, in 15 years George will be about 70 years old. But it's our bet that he will make the Sequel Trilogy in his life time. Do you think he wants someone else to mess up the sequels after he's gone? No way. He's going to finish what he started. Just imagine how awesome the special effects at ILM will be in another 15 years!))
Nice prequel script . . . where can I get a hard copy of it on paper? I'd like to be able to let my pals read it . . . That's all. Thanks! (Source: Audrey R)(SuperShadow: If you want a hard copy of my Ep 1 script, your going to have to print it off. I guess I could sell copies of it, but George might think I'm double dipping.)
i tried writing this letter once already so i am sorry if you get 2!! well i was reading the comments and rumors and just sitting here in awe at what i don't know about the prequels. it puts a not in my stomach to think that there are people going around that know more than me! i want to know all there is to know and just enjoy the creativity of Mr. Lucas. I am a diehard fan and won't ever stop being one! i don't ever go to the movies but for Star Wars i was there for the sneak previews in the local theater!! i wish i could come up with such an enthralling story like the one that Mr. Lucas has come up with and i am so happy that i was born when i was because i think that now is the time when i can enjoy the story the most! if you see Mr. Lucas or anything can you let him know that i think he is the coolest and that his imagination and creativity are awe inspiring! thank you! (Source: mindyjo) (SuperShadow: George's typical response to such praise is a modest: "Thanks." He is still amazed at how unbelievably successful the Star Wars film franchise has become. I'm sure that after George is gone he hopes that I will be able to do justice to future Star Wars endeavors :) Of course, if I say too much about myself, you might be able to figure out who I am . . . I plan to make a Boba Fett Trilogy of films and produce a new Star Wars film about once every two years. How's that sound?)
Does George Lucas drink coffee? And if he does, is it Starbucks?
- Thanxs - (Source: Brendan)
(SuperShadow: LOL. I just make his coffee for him. I have no idea what brand it is. However, I am sure it's the cheapest brand that the local supermart carries. George is a very, very frugal man you know.)
Firstly I have two questions which you guys might be able to answer. 1). Does anyone know how R2-D2 will sound in the prequals? ie will he have the STAR WARS/EMPIRE sound effects or JEDI sound effects? I'm hoping for the sound effects out of the first 2 movies. 2). How does Vader know that Like is his son? Because Vader says in JEDI "..just for once, let me look on you with my own eyes." meaning that Anakin has never seen Luke before he became Vader. And if he knew about Luke why didn't he know about Liea? I mean they're twins! If Obi-Wan hid Liea so well, why did he do such a poor effort with Luke? Also if Vader knew Luke was his son before EMPIRE why didn't he try and capture Luke in STAR WARS instead of going after Obi-Wan. Surely if he felt the presence of Obi-Wan he could've felt the precence of his once son.
Secondly, I have recently watched the Special Editions again (for about the 50th time) but this time I tried to make mental notes on all the "unanswered questions" and scenes which may hold new meaning after the prequals. Let me say there are a LOT of scenes which have unaswered questions (eg "Still.....there's something familure about this place."). My observation is of the scene in EMPIRE when Han is being put into Carbon freeze. When Chewie goes nuts Fett raises his gun preparing to shoot (probably Chewie) and is stopped by Vader. I have ALWAYS wondered why? I mean why should Vader care? It is during the time when Han is calming Chewie down, Liea looks over at Vader. Vader returns a VERY concentrated stare and Liea backs away. After Han is frozen, Vader orders Lando to "...take the princess and the Wookie to my ship." Angain, why? And then it hit me! Liea MUST remind Vader of the young princess he fathers Luke and Liea from before he turned to the dark side! That means there might "...still be good in him.". This makes sense because obviously Liea would look like the young princess because she is her daughter. Also, if you look at pictures of Natalie Portman, she looks a lot like Liea in EMPIRE! That is why Vader stops Fett from shooting, because he might hit Liea! If Liea and the Wookie were taken to Vader's ship, there might have been some long explaining coming. But in the end Vader wins over his feeling towards Liea and fogets about his life with the young princess, because he really doesn't give a hoot at the end or in JEDI, because he's still after Luke.
Does this make sense, or am I suffering from delutions of grandure? Lastly, killer page guys! (Source: Old Senatorial) (SuperShadow: R2 does not quite sound the same in Ep 1 as he does in the trilogy. You'll recognize R2 when he beeps and whistles, but it will sound a little different . . . As far as how Ep 1 will change our perceptions of the current trilogy, I'm staying mum on that subject. You'll just have to watch the film and figure that out for yourself. I'm sure that after the film comes out the fans will have dozens of sites solely dedicated to analyzing how Ep 1 changes the current trilogy. Our interpretations of these changes may and will not always agree! Some of the changes that Ep 1 will make to the trilogy will create as many ambiguities as it seeks to clarify.)
Luv the site! u guys are still the ones! The prequel is almost upon us! (Source: Clever One Down)(SuperShadow: Complinents are appreciated. One less day until we get to see Ep 1!)
Looks like I'm done for today. Vespon will be emptying out his mail bag tomorrow and, as usual, there is no telling what on earth he is going to do or say! Make sure to check out Vespon's comments to your e-mail tomorrow! Until then, always stay cool with the Force. And if you run into a Lucasfilm employee, please be nice and don't ask 'em for the Ep 1 script!! That gets pretty old after a while!!
SuperShadow: Stuff at work has got me running way behind so it is going to take me a week or more to catch up with all your e-mail. Add to this the fact that I get about 30 to 40 e-mails a day. Some are rumors and comments. Some are just you guys/gals wanting to talk and others are miscellaneous. I try to respond to every single e-mail I get. Hang in there! I am swamped. Hopefully, one day, I will be able to catch up. Keep sending in the rumors. Keep coming back to this page. I promise to post your rumors as soon as possible!
You guys do one heck of a job. Keep it up!!! (Source: exarkun)
(SuperShadow: We will for many years yet to come. We won’t be done
with Prequel Trilogy rumors until the last film comes out in
May 2005! Then I guess we'll start the rumors for the Sequel Trilogy!)
I've gotten 3 possible titles for the first 3 episodes:
The force is definately with this site! Great job! (Source: Kyp Winn)(SuperShadow: Thanks. We'll keep our noses to the grind stone.)
Kewl prequel script. Do you mind if I put it on my site? I'll give you credit of course. It must have taken you months to write. (Source: Radder)(SuperShadow: You can do with it whatever you like. Just don't try to sell it for cash ;) Actually, it only took me about 5 days to write that script.)
Now don't get me wrong; I like ROTJ as much as the next guy. But aside from the battle in
Jabba's palace and at the Great Pit of Carkoon, I felt that Lucasfilm could have done a much
better job with the plot. I mean come on: Ewoks??? Fuzzy little bear-like SOB's, armed only with
spears and rocks, and they still manage to beat the !@#& out of the Emperor's "finest troops"?
What a load of bullsh...er, bovine defecation. I also don't like the fact that the Empire's new
superweapon was just another Death Star.. In ANH it was a neat plot twist, but in ROTJ, it just
sucked.
I think ROTJ would have been a lot cooler with this plot: the fight at Jabba's palace remain's
untouched ('cept for that annoying dance number). However, the Empire's new superweapon is
not a Death Star, but rather a fleet of dreadnaughts (kinda like the Eye of Palpatine in Children of
the Jedi or the Katana fleet in the Thrawn trilogy). And rather than constructing them over some
backwater world like Endor, they do it over the shriveled heart of the Empire itself, Coruscant.
The Rebels send a strike team in to destroy the shield generator(which gives us a chance to see
what Coruscant is like under the reign of Palpatine), just like in the original version, but instead of
meeting a band of sickeningly cute, stone age era, Ewoks, they meet a large group of people who
live beneath Imperial City. These people hate the Empire, but rather than fighting them, or joining
the Alliance, they flee to the lowest levels of the worldwide city, so that they won't be bothered by
any of Palpatine's forces. These refugees want nothing to do with the Rebellion at first, but
eventually decide to join forces with the Alliance after Skywalker tells them that they cannot hope
to hide from the Emperor's prying eyes forever, and that their conflicts are the same as that of the
Rebel's.
The rest of the movie goes very similar to the original plot of ROTJ, a couple of exceptions being
that the Rebels main target is the command dreadnaught and not the death star, the audience takes
the fight on ground much more seriously than before, Mark Hamil's acting is better in the
Emperor's throne room than in the original version of the film, and more focus is given to
Vader's/Anakin's inner turmoil and eventual reformation (which I've always felt is the most
important part of ROTJ). If that had been the actual plot to ROTJ, then it would have done much
better at the box-office during it's re-release last year.
(Source: UberJedi)
(SuperShadow: Let me explain why George used a second death star in ROTJ. When George wrote the Star Wars movies, he had the death star appearing only in ROTJ. However, when George was writing the script for Star Wars, he thought that he would only get to make one of the films so he decided to insert the death star into A New Hope as the exciting climatic battle. So when he inserted the super death star into ROTJ, it seems unoriginal, but George always intended for a death star to appear in the sixth episode . . . The plot line to all three Star Wars films centers around
the "rescue" plot line motiff. Luke is constantly rescueing somebody in each movie.
In ANH, Luke rescues Leia from Vader. In ESB, Luke tries to rescue Leia and his friends
from Vader. Again, in ROTJ, Luke tries to rescue his friends from danger and at the end of ROTJ, he
rescues Vader from the dark side of the Force. Heroism is all about rescues.)
You are obviously the greatest source for prequel info., can you let me know if we get to see Chewie in the new film? (Source: Hind Copt)(SuperShadow: There are Wookiees in the film. Is one of them Chewie? How do you tell a Wookiee apart anyway?)
I don't know how accurate your rendition of the prequel plot is but at least it was interesting reading. If it were the real deal, would your buds at Lucasfilm let you post it for the masses to read? Would they? (Source: Mad Hatter)(SuperShadow: Intriguing question. One answer could be: If it were the real plot, they would ask me to remove it. Or it could be the real plot and they figure no one will think it is real so they could care less. Well, the real answer is NO. It ain't the real plot. It's just a cool story I wrote based on all the cool (and sometimes extremely lame) rumors that fans and others have come up with over the past year or so)
What if the real R2 in Episode One looks like an R5-D4 droid. I would find that really funny! (Source: Trent)(SuperShadow: Yeah, real funny . . . R5-D4 sends a shudder through my spine. It is the only figure that I haven't bought dozens of times. My POTF2 collection will always be incomplete cause I will never ever ever, not in a million years, buy an R5 action figure!)
Best site out there! Keeps getting better! Thanks! (Source: Lizzer)(SuperShadow: Hey, it's our job. It's easy to maintain a site when your getting paid. Heaven on earth!)
Wedge Antilles rules!!! (Source: Mike Duffy)
(SuperShadow: Yeah, he may rule in the movie, but his
new action figure from Kenner looks like a Luke Skywalker with
a mustache!)
I guess StarWars Episode 1 will be very succesful. I feel very anxious about what is coming soon,
because i´m a fan of StarWars since i was a baby. Now i´m 23 years old, and i´m very happy
because Return... is no longer the last episode. furthermore, i´ve been thinking a lot about the
rumors(or the facts) about the sequel...I really can´t wait upto 1999 to get to something that will
be one of the most important moments in my life: another episode.
I´m sure nothing will compare to The empire strikes back (the best movie in the whole
world´story), but i got no doubts that Episode 1 will shock me too much.
This internet page is one of my favourites ´cos it´s the only one that talks about the prequel
update, things that i can´t find in nowhere else.
My name is Leandro, i live in Argentina, and here are a lot of StarWars fans, Who search
StarWars´ figures and merchandising everywhere. I love kenner action figures (by the way i got a
lot...), and cards, but here they are really expensive, though i got a lot.
I would like to chat with some others StarWars fans in the world , so i would like you to offer a
chat in this page (if you can, of course).
i hope you have understood my english.
Thank you for all, And go on like this.
(Source: Leandro)
(SuperShadow: Interesting to hear from a Star Wars
fan from Argentina. Don’t worry Episode 1 won’t dissappoint. I
just hope Fox distributes the new film to South America prior to
September 1999! Keep your fingers crossed!)
Many people may laugh when you state that Fett may be a woman, but why not? This is the kind of surprise Lucas can pull since no one expects it except for you. You seem to have a sixth sense when it comes to Star Wars so I would bet you could be on to something. Long live the awesome SuperShadow! (Source: Lancer)(SuperShadow: Thanks. Sometimes all the praise seems too much. I'm making money from writing the column so you guys/gals shouldn't feel the need to praise me all the time. I'll print your rumors with or without praising me or Dark Side. I'm just thankful to be the only SW webmaster making money from something I love so much!)

I don’t speak your language :) I'm sure it was some kind of cool rumor or something . . . I guess?)
Shadow rules!!!! That script you wrote for ep i is the boss!! (Source: Anony Moss)(SuperShadow: Thanks, but don't expect much of what I wrote to show up in the real thing. It's based on internet rumors !)
We all want to know what started these "wars" between the rebels and the imperial senate.
(Source: Jaster Marelle)
(SuperShadow: When Palpatine seized power as Emperor, he promised great changes that would
bring peace, harmony and prosperity to the galaxy. Instead, his evil galactic empire slaughtered millions and
left the galaxy in constant fear of his whims. Mon Mothma was one of the founding members of the Rebel Alliance and she sought to end the Emperor's reign of terror. And the rest, as you know, is galactic history.)
I'm pretty much new to this internet thing, and
a friend of mine, who us both are real Star Wars
fans, found out about your site. Cool is the
word that describes it man - its like a secret
underground thing - on the fringe! What topped
it was that you guys have the script to the new
movie. It's F!@#ing unreal - can't wait till it
comin’ out. Where did you get that gem, who
did you have to pay? Knights of The Republic -
Kewl!
Keep it coming man! (Source: The boy)

what’s cool in Star Wars cyber space! The script is yours for taking if you forward
us $ 25 bucks first :) )

Maybe, George can use your idea for Indy Jones 5!)
I just found your site I found very funny that
every one was searching for the movie who will
have de Trailers, because I already know it
(a friend of mine work at Fox, and a Friend of him
his on the SW case) I know it's a lot of friend of
but...
So.
The Name is something like: Against (all?) ennemies
It's suppose to be release in the beginning of October
It's an action movies with two big stars if I can
remember well.
If i'm right , the movie didn't need a "boost" like
you always talk, but i't would allow much more people
to view it, don't you think?
Ah, last things: It's produced by Fox.
And don't forget it will just be the FIRST to get it.
After, all movies (many movies..) will have it, because
Fox will give it to anyone who want to!!!
So, see ya. And stop searching for movies before October..

it on file! )
There is a rumor that Lucas has planned to play Vader in the final film in all his costume while
James Earl Jones will continue to do the Voice
(Source: Grand Admiral Thrawn)(SuperShadow: George will like
to know where that rumor came from? Maybe, George will appear as a Jawa
in Ep 1.)
My goodness, obviously a lot of work went into this page..so it seems like this isnt going to be
such a personal film, it seems as though there will be a wide variety of characters...either way, im
dying to see vader in costume...i wonder just how different he'll look! thank you for all your hard
work...keep it up!!!! (Source: darth kevin)

In case you didn't know (i don't know if you do or
not)the new sw movies are rumored to be partly

First of all, I love your page. Helps pass the time until May 99. Decided i'd like to put up a few
concerns of mine.
I just saw Armageddon and thought it was pretty good. However, I hope and pray that George
keeps to his guns, and focuses on the story of Episode 1, and not so much on trying to dazzle us
with special effects. I swear, by the end if Armageddon, not only did I have a headache from all
the jumpy, flashy explosions, but I was actually bored by them.
But I have complete faith in George Lucas that not only will the story be exponentially
BETTER, but the special effects will be used to enhance the story, not BE the story. (And they
will be way, way better.) These are the things that concern me more than "Is Boba Fett Luke's
third cousin?" Thanks again, and keep up the great work.

(SuperShadow: Episode 1 will be the best Star Wars film yet. Can’t wait!)
I've heard about the Jedi Council arguing about whether to clone Jedi.
Ben might be one, hence Obi (O.B. intials) Wan (one, first clone)
(Source: DesertWind)(SuperShadow: Wow! Never heard that rumor
before :) Keep ‘em comin’!!!)
We've heard of a younger sister to the queen. I wonder, since the queen is much older than
anakin, would it be possible that in fact anakin does not fall for the queen but rather fall for her
sister (who is only two years younger than anakin). Could it be possible that anakin does fall for
the queen in episode 2 but then switches to her sister after a tragic scene (she might reject him for
ben kenobi, as we've heard in the rumours). A friend of mine thought of this happenning and it
reminded me of the surprises in the starwars trilogy (the fact that vader is actually luke's father,
etc). This would end with the princess bearing the skywalker twins.
I remembered that, sometime during the release of the special editions, george lucas planned for a
ballade to be sung by natalie portman's character. What ever happened to it? Was it scrapped out
of the film or is it just that there isn't any new mention on the ballade?

dark side prequel rumors is the mack daddy of them all! Thanks finally a site that ain't about crap! (Source: Craig)(SuperShadow: Your praise is too much!! We try to bring you the best site day in and day out.)
Well, your storyline seems plausible enough, given all the hearsay about Episode 1. But I
thought I read somewhere
that Lucas had indicated that major events set in motion in the prequels would be due to a pivotal
character's "fall
from grace". Would this be Anakin? No, he's only nine, and Lucas has 2 other movies to show
this. Besides if the "first"
Star Wars movie is going to be about a nine-year old who runs around, saviing the galaxy, the
"cheese" factor for the whole
storyline just jumped off the scale. Now I know George Lucas is a family-oriented businessman,
and the Star Wars universe is
enitirely his perogative, but PA-LEEESE! So, who else have we got? Kenobi. Maybe, but I
think his mistakes can't become evident
until Anakin gets older, he's still probably going to be nine by the end of the show. So who,
Qui-Gon Jinn? Aaah! now there's a
character we know nothing about, save the fact that he's an older jedi. And what better way to
set the tides of the Force in motion,
and reitterate what Lucas has indicated a number of times before of the fine line between good
and bad, the dark side and the light,
than a jedi, who's intentions are noble, but who's actions undermine his conditioning. Sounds like
a framework for Anakin's
"progression" to me.
Food for thought. ( Source: Buster K)
(SuperShadow: Qui-Gon is the one character that Lucasfilm has told us that they don't want any info posted about so our lips are sealed. He is the pivotal character in Ep 1 that sets much of the adventure in Ep 1 in motion. He is one of the coolest Jedi Masters you could imagine cause Liam is such a great actor!)
The plot looks really exciting that you wrote in that script. You should write scripts for Lucasfilm! Looking forward to see the movie!
(Source: Toadlstool)
(SuperShadow: The Force is back, baby! Well, almost back . . . just 11 months left to go!! If I wrote scripts, I'd have to take a pay cut!)
I disagree with a comment made by FireForce that the Ep 1 trailer will be
released with a film we won’t want to see. The trailer could be released with
Star Trek 9, which will be released late this year.
(Source: Marcus)
(SuperShadow: The distribution agreement between Fox and Lucasfilm states that the Ep 1 trailer can ONLY be released with Fox films. There ain't going to be a prequel trailer with ST9. No way. No how.)
Great site supershadow!, star wars fans like me have a lot to thank you
for. I know this is a tough question, but if you could would you give a
complete run-down of all the characters in ep.1, rumored, confirmed, or
otherwise. Thanks!
(SuperShadow: Quickly, here goes: Anakin Skywalker, Padme Amidala, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Yoda, Senator Palpatine, Senator Tarkin, Mace Windu, Chancellor Valorum, Ric Olie, someone called Kane, Jabba the Hutt, Wookiees, Sand People, Jawas and some other interesting "cameo" surprises.)
First, I have really enjoyed this page. I have some thoughts on something that could possibly be
explained in the prequels based on some events in the original trilogy. In the Empire Strikes
Back, Lando tells Han and the group that he had no choice, that they arrived just before you
did...talking about Darth Vader and his troops. What always bugged me is this. If Boba Fett is
always given credit for tracking down Solo after attaching to the Imperial Cruiser and releasing
with the junk....how did Fett know that Solo would make his way to Cloud City. I mean...Lando
said that "they arrived just before you did". My thoughts are this.....maybe Fett knew of Solo's
past friendship with Lando and that was the obvious place Solo would go. Which makes you
wonder what kind of past that Lando and Fett have. Lets face it....it wasn't exactly a loving look
that Lando gave to Fett whil Han was being tortured. And he also refers to him as "that bounty
hunter". It would be interesting to see what kind of past Lando has with Fett. Any thoughts on
this matter....or am I just being too technical in watching Empire? (Source: Michael)
(SuperShadow: Fett has a prominent role in Ep 2. What does that mean? Does George consider Fett's role in the trilogy to be prominent? Do we get to see Fett BEFORE he wears the Mandalore armor? There are countless surprises that George could come up with for Fett's role in Ep 2.)
I am sick of people complaining about having Anikan being too young and
that kids shouldn't be in the movie. Does anybody remember that Yoda
claimed Luke was too old to start with his training? Luke is just enterd
adulthood at this point which implies Jedi training should start when a
person is still a child. The problem was not Anakin being young but
Obi-Wans arrogance thinking he can teach when he was not qualified, his
responsibility should have been to have him trained by a Jedi MASTER,
such as Yoda, for as good as a knight he might have bee he was just a
KNIGHT. So as unfortunate as it sounds Obi screwed up big time somewhere
along the line leading to the creation of Vader. So to the people out
there who think having kids in the movie sucks you should go back and
review what this movie is about. Another aspect of these films is how a
child was failed by his mentor and I personally want to see this story
from the begining. And refuse to complain about anything or speculate as
to the suckiness of the film because a kid is in it. I think George
knows what he is doing and since this has been his pet project for 20
years do you really think he is going to give us a movie that stinks
because there is a kid in it? (Source: Tony M.)
(SuperShadow: Jake Lloyd give a much better performance in Ep 1 than Mark Hamill gave in A New Hope. Jake is an astounding actor and will have a very, very lucrative Hollywood career.)
Hope you can digest all those rumors. I'll try to post even more of your letters tomorrow!! Have a great weekend!!
I was reading some of your old letters and i think I may be of some
help to Adam Felker who wrote you on March 23. He didn't know where
Luke's Yellow Light Saber came from. Well in the Star Wars novel (of
course Written by Mr. Lucas) Lukes Light Saber is yellow. And an old
action figure I have of Luke also has a Yellow saber. It's anyone's
guess why it's different in the films. Oh, and one more thing. "Saber" can be spelled correctly either with an "er" or an "re". The difference is that one is the french spelling (often considered the most apropriate) and the other is the Anglicized version. Thanks, (Source: Phil-Florida)(SuperShadow: I still have that Luke Skywalker with the yellow light sabre . . . Thanks for explaining the saber v. sabre question . . . I wonder if Obi-Wan's saber will be yellow in Ep 1?)
Well, I'm a huge SW fan and I much like everyone else likes to look
for info on the prequels on line, which is more then abundant. The hard part
I find is finding info that won't reveal exact plot lines and that is at least
somewhat reliable. I like finding out stuff about how the movie is going and
being made more then what exactly is going to happen in the movie. I don't
look at any pictures that don't appear on SW.com or the Insider. I want to be
as surprised as possible when I sit down in the movie theater on that magical
day less then a year from now. This is a constant will power battle for me.
I was proud of myself when I didn't read the supposed plot summary in this
months sci-fi mag. I find your webpage very informative, but at the same time
not a huge spoiler. Thanks for stopping me from exploding in anticipation.
Okay I am done kissing your a*s. I have a question. Is the more than a
billion dollars Titanic made World Wide include the domestic box office or is
it seperate all together? Thats it MTFBWY! (Source: StarKill)(SuperShadow: Thus far, Titanic has made $ 587.1 million in North America and an additional $ 1.150 billion overseas. Titanic has so far grossed $ 1.737 billion around the world. Jurassic Park stands at # 2 with $ 920.1 million earned worldwide and Independence Day is # 3 with $ 811.2 million. Star Wars is next with a grand total to date of $ 780.1 million. Hope that answers your question. Glad you enjoy the page! For every true spoiler posted on the webl there are about 2 million false rumors. It's like finding a needle in a hay stack.)
I think your site is very entertaining. You may have already covered this but I read somewhere that Lucas wanted to make the largest water battle in film history. I've heard a million rumors but this ones seems to stick in my mind. Considering most of films have covered other geographic locations - The desert/the snow/the sky/forest/swamp etc it would seem to be a natural progression...?
Also, I heard a rumour that EP3 would cover the Imperial Academy training
of Han Solo and the event where Chewbacca and Han start their Friendship.
Also I've skimmed over some of the books and read stories about what is
supposed to have happened just after this scene or that in the film... I
think the writers have tried too hard to weave intricate plot details
between the films and the novels .. I don't understand why they have to
pick out every extra in the films and write about them saying they are a
secret agent that knew Luke's Uncle or whatever. eg: the whole Dengar
rescues Fett from the Sarlacc? or the intricate story of the guy who says
"Look sir droids!" What next? the Storm Trooper who bangs his head on
the door in A New Hope was the same guy who piloted the ATAT in ESB that
destroyed the shield generator and later lead the coup on Cloud city? I
think the novels detract from the true Lucasafied story. Thats my 2
cents. Keep up the good work. Binna. (Source: David B.)(SuperShadow: A giant Oceanic battle will occur in the prequels. However, it may not appear until Ep 2 or 3. Han and Chewie in Ep 3? Don't bet on it until you see the movie for yourself!)
Vespon: Time for me to post the plethora of rumors and
some interesting comments that many of you have sent me over
the past few weeks:
I just LOVE this site! This is the first site I come
to every day. Even though most of the rumors and stuff
(posted on the Net) are false, it's fun to speculate
and see what actually happens. That is the true beauty
of Star Wars, there are endless possibilities.
And furthermore, you guyz are really funny & sarcastic.
It really makes me feel the Star Wars unity. I LOVE
Star Wars and I know that George Lucas has something
amazing up his sleeve this time around (but really,
what else could you expect from the master cinematic
visionary of the modern day). I'm so excited, I'm
wetting my Mandalorian battle armor. I need to use
the refresher unit! Oh yeah, Vespon! I heard Zorba
the Hutt has such an enormous bounty on you, you won't
be able to go near a civilized system. Beware when
B-O-B-A is on the prowl! Star Wars forever! (Source:
Boba Fan)(Vespon:Fine with me BF, I prefer
the fast pace and danger of the uncivilized systems in
the outer rim to the prim and proper civilized core
systems. All I need are my beat-up 40-year-old Corellian
bulk cruiser, my cool Ewok co-pilot named Wiggy and a
red astromech droid (R5-D4) that I acquired when Shadow
tossed the poor thing out.))
I read that the reason the EP1 trailer/teaser wasn't
show before the X-Files movie is that it wasn't ready
yet since it (the trailer) went to print last week.
There is talk that Fox is going to ship it loose this
week or more likely loose with Dr. Dolittle. Don't know
how long it is but I've read that there will be a
3 min trailer, likely around Thanksgiving when the
promotions go full throttle. Wonder how much it will
help the movie it is front of? (Source: jetfire)
(Vespon:How many times do these rumor mongerers
have to be wrong before they end this teaser speculation.
There is no trailer in existence. PERIOD. Let me say this
hopefully for the last time: THERE WILL BE NO EP 1 TRAILER
UNTIL NOVEMBER 1998 AT THE EARLIEST! You fans can help end
the false trailer speculation by e-mailing all your SW
friends that they should ignore all rumors that claim that
a trailer will hit theaters prior to November. It just
ain't going to happen. 100% Guaranteed.))
Since Anakin is but a child in episode 1, it is
unrealistic to believe we would see the Skywalker
twins before Episode 3. (Source: Mon Calamarian)
(Vespon:Rick McCallum has already publicly
stated that the Skywalker twins will not be born until
the END of Ep 3. Note, that he did not say that they
would ACTUALLY appear on screen)
Samuel L. Jackson, who's role in Episode 1 has
been shrouded in secrecy, will play R2-D2's first
master (and possibly his creator). All rumors of
Jackson playing either a Jedi or Lando's father
are false. R2-D2 will have a signifigent role in
the film, but we will not meet his counterpart,
C3PO (and neither will he), until after Episode 1.
Anthony Daniels will NOT appear in Episode 1.
R2-D2 will be a close friend to Anakin, as he was
to Luke. Artoo's role will allow him to be much
more deceptive, and we will realize just how cunning
this little robot is. (Source: From the Ranch)
(Vespon:Yeah, whatever Mister. Jackson
plays the role of Jedi Master Mace Windu, a good friend
of Yoda's, in Episode I. Every single one of our Lucasfilm
sources reluctantly acknowlege that this rumor is true . . .
______ owns R2 and not Mace Windu . . . Anthony Daniels
does not appear in Ep 1 as C-3PO because he only supplied
the VOICE for C-3PO. Threepio is in the film . . . A
cunning astromech droid? Which ranch are you from? It
must be the one in Dallas called South Fork that
J.R. Ewing lives at. How's the oil business?)
Star Wars is a great film, but I love John
William's work in the trilogy as much (and maybe a
little more) as the trilogy story itself. My question
is that when will Mr. William's work start on and
episode 1 score (or has it already?) If it has started,
is it known if he is going to do the score with the
London symphony? I sure hope he does, cuz' they are
still the best in the world (plus I'm BIG on tradition).
Oh, and what's the deal with these posters you've had?
They actually put FAITH in internet rumors? I don't
believe anything I hear on any page, I really just
wanna hear your thoughts on my question, I don't
really think you can know for a fact. Love the page
guys! Keep it Up! (Source: Jar-Jar)
(Vespon:Williams hasn't begun recording
the soundtrack for Ep 1 although he has composed a few of the melodies he hopes to use for the movies soundtrack. That process can't begin until
George gives Williams a rough cut of the film so that he
can time the mood/emotion of the music to what is going in
a particular scene. George won't be able to deliver a
nearly complete version of Ep 1 until about January 1999.
So Williams will have the first half of 1999 to complete
the soundtrack . . . Over the past 15 years, Williams has
been jotting down little pieces of music that he would like
to use in the new Star Wars movies. Williams has already
come up with the exciting theme for the Jedi Knights which
is in the same vain as the Indiana Jones theme. He just
won't be able to record with a full symphony until early
1999. Your right. George does owe Williams quite a bit of
credit for making Star Wars what it is. Without Williams'
brilliant score, the trilogy would be tarnished quite a bit
. . . Like we've told you on many occassions: About 90% of the rumors
on the internet are false. Which ones are true? We can't
tell you that! But it is fun to speculate!)
Why is everybody so negative about the
main character, Anakin, being only about nine
in Episode One? They say it would be the
'stupidest and lamest thing' to see a young boy
pilot a spacecraft and perhaps be the hero of a
battle. I see no problem with this idea whatsover.
Remember, Anakin is a child prodigy, an anomoly
that no one can explain or understand. I've heard
when he is first discovered, he emits raw,
untrained force power equivalent to that of a
Jedi master. (Reminiscent of Alia Atreides'
power in Frank Herbert's Dune.) So powerful is he,
that even Yoda is dumbfounded by this 'fluke'
of nature. A nine year old with that kind of
ability would kick the living daylights out of an
average man. Maybe this is what spawns Anankin's
'delusions of grandeur'. All his life he has been
told of his immense power and great destiny, and
he belives it to his very core. That is why
he chooses the dark side; his superiority would be
ever more apparent.
(Source: Amhtom Nom)(Vespon:George is obsessed with small people and midgets. He tried to make a film starring little people and it bombed (Willow). So now George is recycling this idea in Ep 1. George is determined to make a film that successfully protrays a person of small stature as the film's "hero." I don't like this theme, but I have accepted it. There are tons of midget-sized characters in Ep 1, which means tons of little action figures and toys!)
I've been mulling over some thoughts the last few
days. First let me tell you about my self. I'm a fat,
17-year-old high school nerd. Kids at school tell me to suck a monkey
tweeter . . . Your site is the only thing on earth
that gives me joy right now. I'm am the biggest fan of
Vespon's in the world and am planning to make a fan site
dedicated to the mysterious and ultra-cool Vespon. I send you guys a bunch
of rumors. Thanks for posting them. I know I should
get a life beyond Star Wars, but if no one at school
will talk to me then what can I do? Thanks for listening
and I would appreciate hearing your two cents.
First, alot of people have referred to the young
Anakin in Episode One as a boy who is fascinated
by machines, mechanics and phrases like "cool!" He loves to dabble
in engines and such, builds his own 'pod', and
seems to have an natural ability for knowing how
a machine works, and immediately knowing how
to fix it. Then how come in A New Hope, Vader is
never seen on the Death Star (Vespon: Vader is on the Death Star for almost
the entire movie!!!), and seems to worship their machinery
and technology more than the Force? (Vespon: Maybe
you were watching some other film? Vader believes the power of the
Force is superior to technology. This is why Luke is able to destroy the death star.) What makes him
change his mind so drastically? (Of course
he still loves piloting his TIE fighter.)
Did the discovery of the Force bring about this abrupt
change? Second, I heard someone say that although
George Lucas has stated Boba Fett will have a
prominent role in Episode II, he never said that
Jaster Mereel, who eventually becomes Fett,
couldn't appear in Episode One. (Of course, this
would all depend on your "point of view".) I do
think this will happen. Boba Fett is older that
Darth Vader's age in the current trilogy,
(60 years old) so in order to be in
Episode One, Mereel would be about 20 years old,
the same age as Anakin. Mereel was born on Ord Mantell,
(Vespon:I don't think that's correct) and was
raised by the Mon Calamarians, who found the fierce
and angry young child. They saw his potential, and took him under their wing.
That is why he honors them by wearing their armor.
He was brought up on the planet of Mon Calamari.
He would still be living there at the age of 18. The
trilogy probably won't have any reason to go to Mon
Calamari until the clone wars erupt in Episode 3.
(Maybe Fett and Anakin meet during that time period. If Fett is a female, then maybe the love triagle involves Anakin, Padme Amidala and Fett! That would be awesome!)
I know I don't sound very smart, but thanks for being
there for me. At least, I'll always know that you guys are
there for me. So I guess I do have friends!!!! Maybe I'll change my
name to Vespon and then I'll be ultra suave and cool!!
(Source: White Pearl and Other Aliases coming at you
from agt.net!)(Vespon:I'm glad our site
means so much to you. The fact that we have touched one

this site going (especially since Shadow is the only one making money of this site right now!!!) We will never stop updating this site
just so we can bring a little sunshine into your life

And remember . . . One day you may grow up to be like me! I

I couldn't help but wonder why the hover tanks in the
Naboo attack looks similar to the AT-AT cockpit.
The hover tanks also has the hover pods like those on
Slave I, Boba Fett's ship. Could the hover tanks be
Mandalorian? . . . Are Shmi and Anakin REALLY slaves to
Jabba? I'm not so optimistic about that rumour because
the shots of Anakin and his mother would show otherwise.
Would slave quarters be so big on Tatooine?
(Source: Anditte)(SuperShadow: I know
your using "Naboo" just because there is no other name
available for the Queen's homeworld, but "Naboo" is a
code name for her home world and will not be heard in the
film . . . Don't make too much out of those hover tanks.
They will only appear very briefly in the final version
of Ep. 1. None of our Lucasfilm sources are permitted to
comment about the Mandalorian possibly being in Ep. 1 . . .
As we saw in ROTJ, Jabba sees nothing wrong with holding
people/creatures as slaves if he wants to . . . Anakin is
suppose to represent the story of a lowly, extremely
impoverished "peasant," who becomes a great warrior and
earns the right to marry a beautiful Queen. This makes
Anakin a more sympathetic character than the merciless Vader
that is seen in the trilogy. Anakin's fall from grace is
truly tragic and heart-breaking to watch as the prequels
unfold.)
The three Star Wars prequels take place 32 years prior
to A New Hope. Which means they will have to take
place at least at a fourteen year basis because Luke
Skywalker was 18 in the first movie. Unless they have a
gap in the time he was born. Obi-Wan Kenobi was 60 years
old in A New Hope, so he'd be 28 in the first prequel.
It says in the script that Anakin Skywalker is both 8
and 9. But in the guide to the star wars it says he's
55. 5 years younger than Obi-Wan. But that would make
him 23 in the first prequel? Some body screwed up!
(Source: Jedi)(SuperShadow: Continuity in the Star
Wars galaxy is relative and can be changed by George
whenever he likes. According to the Star Wars Insider,
Ep 1 is set 32 years prior to SW: A New Hope, Ep 2 occurs
about 22 years before ANH and the events in Ep 3 happen
approximately 20 years prior to ANH. However, nothing
about the prequels is ever set in stone and George can
very well change this time line if so chooses.)
I think one of the new movies should be made in
Salt Lake city Utah like dumb and dumber and species
(Source: Andrew V.)(SuperShadow: Nice try, Drew, but EP 2 and 3 will be filmed outside of the United States in order to save costs.)
What are the second and third movies going to be called?
(Source: miathedog)(SuperShadow: Ep 2: Deceptions of the Sith and Ep 3: Force of the Emperor. Now, do you really think I know what the titles are going to be. At this point, only George and Rick McCallum and a select few are privy to that precious information.)
Great stuff! Nice to know there is something good on
the net. (Source: Kyp)(SuperShadow: Thanks. We're not the # 1 source for prequel news for nothing!)
I like that bit about instead of Boba Fett appearing in
ep i, it will be Jaster Mareel (note the spelling).
That sounds like something Lucas would do. He likes to
make people think. And by the time George gets around
to making the "Ultimate Special Edition", I hope he
changes his mind about the Wedge/Anchorhead scenes.
Wedge is cool and he doesn't show up a lot. He should
get a little more recognition. And does the future look
bright for the sequel trilogy? It would be cool to
have a nine movie boxed set. How about "Star Wars: The
Immaculate Collection" or "Star Wars: A Legacy"? That
would rock! (Source: Boba Fan)(SuperShadow: Oops. Sorry about the spelling of Fett's "name." It would be cool to see Jaster in Ep 1, but don't bet on it. We're more likely to see Chewbacca at this point . . . I'm not joking.)
The script is totally cool, did u make that up or is
this it? Could u mail me an answer?
(Source: Sonikyouth101)(SuperShadow: It's my script, but
it's not original cause I based it on all the rumors
that have been posted on the net.)
i love our sight but there are a few questions I'd like to get our
opinion about. First of all, there is a persistant rumor that Anakin
and his family are enslaved on Tatooine and Obi-Wan and the Jedi rescue
them. It's very hard for me to believe this. What do you think?
Also, I saw the X-Files movie (very good- sorry no prequal trailer) and
at the very end of the film they showed a seen from "Tatouine" Tunisia.
Is this a real town. Must explain where they got the name. Do you know
anything about this?
Given that there will be an obvious time gap between episodes 3 and 4
it would seem very plausable for there to be a possible TV series to fit
in. I know that Lucas is really concieous of maintaining a time frame
from story to story (i.e. the movies, books and comics all follow a
percise timeline) and having a Tv show that maintains a chronlogical
order, such as there are in soap operas, would create something totally
new for him and us. Do you know if there's been any talk.
I've read
from "inside sources" that Lucasfilms is looking into the possibility of
a Saturday morning cartoon based on some of the characters but no live
action shows. Do you know anything about this? I sure hope that if
they do a show it's not something stupid like "Droids" or "Ewoks" but
with more action and adventure.
One last thing. Many of the letters on your sight have stated that
there has to be a preconcieved weakness in Anakin's character for him to
go to the Dark Side. Such as a predesposition towards anger and hatred
thus we would see how suseptable he is to Palpatine. I disagree
intirely. I believe events will create the opertunity for the Emperor
to make a good man turn to evil but it will not happen overnight. What
do you think? (Source: Phil) (SuperShadow: George based the name of Tatooine on a town that actually exists in Tunisia. The cartoon, if it is ever made, will be based on the adventures of the Jedi Knights and not the Ewoks or Droids.)
Ok, the read-in of looks between Leia and Vader, Fett and Vader, etc have
gotten too far. These actors and actresses didn't even have the full
script for Empire(AFI #11 should have been) and they didn't even know how
the trilogy would turn out. Carrie Fisher and the rest of the cast had no
idea that Vader would be Lukes father and that Leia was Lukes sister.
They acted on the spot with as much guidance a director could give,
(..look very surprised and sad). People are really reaching.. I can
guarantee that Ewan will have scenes with Jake that might 'seem' to be
something else when the year 2005 rolls around but at the moment it is
just the actors interpetation. Whew! Oh yea, the Power Droid needs more
screen time!! AND R5D4!! (I am First Droid) love the site.. (Source: Craig P.)
(SuperShadow: I guess the die-hard fans do tend to overanalyze, but that's what makes the speculation so fun!)
I love this sight. I'm worried that the Stormtroopers in ANH will turn
out to be Clones and not regular recruits from across the galaxy. What
do you think about this. I'll write back soon. (Source: Phil-Florida)
(SuperShadow: The stormtroopers are not clones. The Empire experiented with creating a large army of loyal cloned warriors, but the experiments failed.)

I really enjoy your site. When are you going to continue
the "Writing Star Wars" section? (Source: Sisko)
(SuperShadow: It's hard to say. I'm so busy right
now that it could be a few weeks or months . . . sorry!)
Awesone site! I was wondering if Lucas would consider Kevin Smith (Clerks, Mall Rats, Chasing Amy, Dogma) for the directing duties for Ep 2 or 3. (Source: Valcher)(SuperShadow: George hasn't even though about the directors for Ep 2 or 3 yet. He's still too busy directing the first one! Maybe, he'll direct the other two himself! Anything can happen at this point!!)
As a surprise to the fans, I be Lucas make Fett be a good guy in Ep II and Fett fights side by side with Anakin and Obi-Wan in the Clone Wars. (Source: Ulister Smythe)(SuperShadow: I'm Fett won't appear in his Mandalore armor until Ep 3. It will be cool to see how George introduces Fett's character in Ep 2)
I bet the only thing we recognize about C-3PO in episode i is his voice. Keep up the tremendous work! Bye! (Source: Ray Taylor)(SuperShadow: Threepio won't look completely different. He is still a human-shaped droid in Ep 1)
i really enjoy visiting your site. it's interesting to
read some of the rumors that are sent. i'm always
checking back in to look for more updates. thanks!
(Source: dieter)(SuperShadow:Thanks d! I try to make
sure that at least one member of the team will be
available to do a daily update. Sometimes we're all busy at
the same time and we miss a day or two . . . I feel more
of an obligation to update daily know that I am be paid
to write a column about the prequels.)
The list of the 100 best films in American cinematic
history was released last week. Star Wars was
number 15. (Even though Star Wars was revolutionary
and altered the course of cinema, I still think
Empire Strikes Back was as good, or better, but
it didn't even make the list.) Anyway, in response
to that list, my brother and I compiled our own list
of the 100 worst movies ever. (We haven't seen
every film ever released, of course, so if anyone
can offer a movie you think should have made it on
this prestigious list, please share with us.)
P.S Some film series are referred to as a single
movie on our list because of formulaic and redundant plots. (Source: Evan)(SuperShadow: Interesting idea. There are many bad films out there.)
Is it possible that Jabba is a Jedi? (Source: Brad)(SuperShadow: No)
I'm way behind in answering the mail and posting your rumors so please be patient and stay cool with the Force!!

(SuperShadow: Thanks for the info. W.S. But it is very unlikely that any of the titles you mentioned will actually be used.)
